Section 2.8 Buses

Buses are interconnections between hardware components. Buses are simply connections of multiple wires. Buses in this book are indicated by very thick lines. However, they may also be drawn as lines with a slash. A number next to the slash indicates the number of bits in each bus. Both of these representations are depicted in Figure 2.8.1.
