Section 3.1 Arithmetic and Logic Unit

The ALU of the model microcontroller is depicted schematically in Figure 3.1.1. This schematic diagram shows all of the internal hardware that is required to carry out each operation. The specific operation will be described in Section 3.2 in the context of each of the microcontroller’s defined instructions.
